The HURST automatic vial Tray UnLoader (US patent issued 2003) uses a fine mesh stainless steel conveyor to horizontally transport vials from a vial tray into a large diameter full-pocketed, high-output, low rpm, index wheel. The stainless conveyor automatically slows when low infeed is sensed. A downstream photocell stops index wheel rotation if vials back up on the discharge conveyor.
