Electro-polishing electrically removes over 40% of ‘peaks’ and fills in about 40% of ‘valleys’ in stainless steel. The result: HURST CORPORATION has the unique ability to electro-polish down to a 4-5 RA or about twice as featureless as 2B mill finishing. Additionally alien metals, especially those accumulated during the manufacturing process, are burned away creating a virgin stainless steel surface with optimal cleaning qualities.
